The Health Benefits of Spinach
Spinach, often considered a superfood, is packed with health benefits. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, this green vegetable is especially good for the heart, skin, and eyes.
First, spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, which is essential for bone health by aiding in calcium absorption. Additionally, its high vitamin A content, especially in the form of beta-carotene, plays a crucial role in skin and eye health, helping to prevent eye diseases such as age-related macular degeneration.
Spinach is also very rich in iron, a mineral essential for red blood cell production and combating anemia. It also contains flavonoids and carotenoids, powerful antioxidants that help fight inflammation and protect the body’s cells from free radicals.
Moreover, its low calorie content and high fiber make it an excellent choice for a balanced diet, contributing to weight management and good digestion.
My Tips for Perfect Creamy Chicken Meatballs with Spinach
You will make chicken meatballs in a pretty classic way (except I don’t use eggs in the meat mixture). If you have a meat grinder, that’s great. Otherwise, chop your chicken into the finest pieces possible. A blender or a robot like Thermomix or CookEasy will also work well.
Then, it’s super simple: cook the meatballs, add the spinach, and finish with the cream. A little seasoning, and you’re done! As I said: a super easy recipe!
Necessary Utensils:
A meat grinder,
A cutting board,
A good paring knife,
A large bowl (or a “cul-de-poule” bowl),
A large non-stick frying pan
And a big lid.
There you go, I’ve told you everything. Are you ready to put on your apron and make creamy chicken meatballs with spinach?
The recipe, Chef!
Meatballs Chop the chicken fillets or, if you prefer, cut them into very small pieces. Add the grated garlic, finely chopped onion, breadcrumbs, chopped mint, and cilantro. Mix well. Finally, add the powdered ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly, then shape your meatballs. Heat the sunflower oil in a pan. Cook the meatballs over medium-high heat until they are nicely browned. Finishing Add the spinach and cover. Cook for 2 or 3 minutes. Pour in the cream, and mix. Reduce the heat to medium and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Adjust the seasoning before serving. Serve!Creamy Chicken Meatballs with Spinach
