White Sausage and Apple Tartlets

Here’s a traditional French recipe, mixing sweet and savory flavors. I’m sure you’re going to love it!

And what I’m talking about is my white sausage and apple tartlets. Perfect for an appetizer, a starter or a light meal with a salad !

White Sausage and Apple Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 4 squares of puff pastry
  • 2 apples
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 white sausages
  • 20 g butter
  • Parsley

Instructions

Preheat your oven at 200 C / 390 F degrees.

Cut your puff pastries in half.

Peel the apples and cut them into quarters. Cut each quarter in 5 or 6 slices.

Place the slices on the pastries (one quarter for one half pastry).

Spread cumin, cinnamon, salt and pepper. Pour a bit of maple syrup.

Cook for 15 minutes until golden brown.

In the mean time, stir fry the white sausages with butter in a frying pan. Add salt and pepper.

Cook for 5 - 6 minutes then cut the sausages in 8 slices each.

Place 4 slices of sausage on each tartlet, spread chopped parsley and serve!
