Burrata, Tomato and Grapefruit Salad

Hello my friends!

Today I will share a super easy (yet absolutely delicious) recipe!

Here is my burrata, tomato and grapefruit salad.

This recipe is so simple that I will put it like this in my post, without my usual recipe module.

I really wanted to share it here because the flavors are really worth it! The sweetness of the burrata, the acidity of the tomato and grapefruit (the juice of the grapefruit will make the dressing quite tasty), and the delicacy of the fennel leaves.

It’s a dish that I find perfect for dinner, with a good slice of baguette, or as a starter before a more generous meal.

Be very carefull about the quality of your ingredients, since there’s no cooking, they are the ones to bring the magic in your plate. 😉

Shall we have a look?

The ingredients:

2 burratas
2 ancient tomatoes (heirloom, amana orange, beef steak, …)
1 red grapefruit
1 handful pine pinions (or pistachios)
Fennel leaves
Flower salt
Pepper
Olive oil

The utensils:

A small frying pan,

A mandoline (if possible),

A cutting board

And a sharp knife.

How to proceed:

Peel the grapefruit with a knife. Set aside the skin pieces with a bit of grapefruit.
Cut the tomatoes and the grapefruit with a mandoline if possible.
Place them on your serving plate. Add the burratas.
Stir fry the pine pinions in a small frying pan for 3-4 minutes.
Add the fennel leaves and pine pinions to your plate.
Season with flower salt and pepper, spread olive oil and the juice from the grapefruit skins.

There you go! You have a colorful and tasteful plate… Time to enjoy!
